Paradise Beach Club Resort
The Paradise Beach Club Resort is a 40-year-old, 4 story oceanfront condominium building that was in desperate need of restoration and beautification. The building was constructed utilizing poured in place concrete horizontal conventionally reinforced concrete slabs supported by structural load bearing beams and columns. Due to the neglecting of prior repair phases and severe corrosion exhibited throughout the balcony/walkway slabs and supporting beams/columns, full replacement of the balconies and walkways was required on this project. Sliding glass door and window fenestrations were also replaced, along with the outdated handrail system on the balconies, walkways and stairs. Wall/ceiling texture was applied to the exterior in order to create a uniform appearance after the repair phase was completed and waterproof coatings were applied to balcony and walkway deck surfaces.
The landscape and amenities at Paradise Beach Club were also in need of an update. The existing pool deck was in poor condition and was replaced with a decorative paver deck; dog parks were also added at both ends of the property for resident convenience. The gym, office and laundry rooms were completely renovated and exterior decorative lighting was added at both the front and rear sides of the building. The existing wood framed landscape border was also replaced with a masonry border painted to match the building. A shuffleboard/bocce court was installed on the north side of the building and granite top BBQ grills were constructed on the north and south sides of the property. This project not only exemplifies Keystone Engineering’s knowledge in the restoration of an aging structure, but also the ability to create a modernized result that is cosmetically appealing and desirable.
