There are multiple factors and “moving parts” that go into a proper and professional restoration project. And while before/after images are an ideal way to view the final results of a structural transformation, capturing images at various stages of the project can provide viewers a little insight into some of the steps that go into preparation and coordination of repairs, renovation, and restoration of a structure.
For this reason, we are sharing some behind-the-scenes photos from a new project underway with Chematics at Coral Seas in Cocoa Beach. While this is an active project, the following is just a glimpse into some of the improvements being made and offers a simplified view of balcony repair and handrail replacement.
Removal of existing handrail
Removal of existing tile/coating
Edge repairs in progress
Skim coat application and taping off the floor pattern
Knockdown texture applications
Floor coating applications in progress
Floor topcoat application
Handrail re-installations in progress and repair areas with primer applications
